- One of my favorite days of the year is the group photo day. Here's this year's photo, with two of my students perfectly (!) blended in from the last year's picture. As I always say, I feel extremely fortunate and privileged to be working with such dedicated and nice scientists. 😀

- We are one of the teams who secured an ARC Discovery Project grant funding (equivalent of NSF in the US)! 😃🎉🎆 Thanks so much to my team members Haibo Yu, Nikolas Johnston and Martina Sanderson-Smith for their hard work. I feel for the 9/10 applications not funded. 🙁 We need more science funding!
- I attended the Australian Cell Cycle, DNA Repair and Telomere Meeting for the first time, and now I wish I could have attended it earlier. Thanks much to the organisers and especially to @genomestability.bsky.social for putting such a nice meeting together. I am looking forward to the future ones!

- I donated to Stand Up for Science. Let's support these scientists fighting for all science and scientists. Although they're in the US, the resulting public outreach of their actions has a global footprint!
- The current US administration is the perfect example of what happens when you put incompetent people with no expertise, experience, or empathy, in charge. I hope this will be a lesson to all other nations, and public and private institutions for avoiding making the same mistake.
