- Reposted by Fiona BrownleeWord on the street is that #TheEndingWritesItself by Evelyn Clarke is set to be the big book of 2026 👀 Can't quite believe I'm reading a book that's only out in April next year but I love a locked room mystery and the intrigue has got me hooked 🕵🏻♀️ 💙📚

- Reposted by Fiona BrownleeTHE ENDING WRITES ITSELF, by Evelyn Clarke: Clearly in the running for the best mystery novel of 2026 (it bows in April). A trove of tropes that mystery-lovers will love, right down to the dark and stormy night in its climax. Funny and scary. It will remind you of AND THEN THERE WERE NONE.

- Paraphrasing but loved the comment from Debbie Hicks @readingagency.bsky.social “giving a book to a non reader is like giving chicken to a vegetarian”. I do that a lot! #pubscotconf
- Superb review for #BestFriends in The Times. ‘Best Friends is about pleasant surprises. The biggest surprise of all is that Andrew Meehan isn’t better known. This gentle, off-kilter book, perfectly pitched to be a word-of-mouth summer hit, should change all that.’ Proof that indie publishers rock!
- Apparently we were 4th in the @publishingscotland.bsky.social quiz @ffmaddingcrowd.bsky.social in spite of getting zero points in the final round. Or studying the Scottish curriculum @forumbooks.bsky.social (80s Athena poster for excellent makeup)
- I was so moved reading this @carosanderson.bsky.social & cannot wait to read. I am all too aware that ‘deaf identity, like so much else, exists on a broad spectrum’ & am intrigued about his becoming a father to a hearing child. I hope he’s doing some events in Edinburgh @wnbooks.bsky.social
