The music is haunting, some of the shots are so exquisite they remind you of Rembrandt or Caravaggio, but it’s Seyfried’s performance as Ann Lee that I’ll be thinking about for a long long time.
See it in the 70mm if possible because gee whiz.
Jan 4, 2026 09:27I don’t typically feel the need to tell the entire internet what I’m watching but this movie is so singular that it’d be a shame for people to miss out on it.
I will also warn anyone who was raised in a religion with its roots established in early American history… the second half of this film is going to be a lot for you.
