- Seems the MCG wicket still sucks #SheffieldShield
- Reposted by Chris CoxGet this: the Israeli president’s visit will be so divisive, according to NSW Police, that the appropriate response is to ban all public assemblies while he’s here, rather than, say, him not coming.

- Instead of Labor MPs shouting on social media about how awful Pauline Hanson is - though she is - they should be telling us how they're actually going to address the issues people are angry about.
- New strings on a guitar and correcting the intonation is a satisfying thing
- Truck crashes into a rail bridge in Ipswich. Cue swarm of racist comments implying the driver is Indian or Pakistani, despite a) absolutely no information about the driver, and b) the completely racist assumption that subcontinent drivers are any less competent than "Australian" drivers.

- Made a comment today about local car dependency and how a particular focus needs to be on enabling more kids to walk or ride to school. Most people pretty supportive, but one comment threw me. "So you think roads should be for you, but not for kids?"
- Unexpected decision by Cricket Australia to appoint Sophie Molineux as women's captain. Great player and leader, but I didn't think she'd be in the running given injuries over the past couple of years. Still, remarkably unhinged reaction by some to her appointment. I hope she proves them wrong.

- White dude throwing a bomb into an indigenous protest...
- Reposted by Chris CoxCalls have grown for an alleged homemade bomb – which was was thrown into the crowd at Perth’s Invasion Day rally – to be investigated as an act of terrorism Greens MP Sophie McNeill says authorities must “prioritise the very real and violent threat posed by the far-right” in WA

- Wish Australia would make that change
