I particularly loved Jill Hopper’s riposte to Samuel Pepys, and Anna Shelton’s dressing down of anatomical eponyms. - Update on Poetry Submission Fees As many of our readers & contributors know, our magazine is run by volunteers — our Trustees, editors & other Board members give their time freely. However, the costs of running the magazine continue to rise.
- Submittable fees, printing, postage & production costs, & other essential expenses have all increased in recent years – as have the numbers of submissions. To help us manage these growing costs & to ensure the magazine can continue in a sustainable way, we are introducing...
- ...a small submission fee for poetry. Submissions will remain free for subscribers & for those on benefits. For non-subscribers, there will be a small fee of £3 per submission. We have thought carefully about this decision & hope it strikes a fair balance between accessibility...
