I just can't see how that Mrs Brown shit gets any air time. It's absolutely APPALLING!
A very Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it. And to those who don't...my very best wishes to you, also.
My first Christmas drink of the year. Hot chocolate and marshmallows, with a few gingerbread snowmen.
Cheers, everyone. Have a good one.
If there's a sadder Christmas song than 'Pretty Paper', I've yet to hear it.
Last year I left Twitter and came to Bluesky and Threads.
Today, I deactivated my Threads account because it has gone almost exactly like Twitter.
I hope Bluesky never goes that way...I really do.
Do any of you have any personal Christmas traditions? Something that, for you, is as much a Christmas as the trimmings, presents, crackers, etc? I have two of my own. At this time of year I always start reading 'A Christmas Carol' and I start watching my Morcambe and Wise Christmas Specials DVDs.
I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Pauline Collins, one of TV's best loved actresses.
I loved her in Period dramas like Upstairs, Downstairs and the spin-off, Thomas and Sarah. RIP
I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Prunella Scales who, of course, played the ultimate battleaxe herself, Sybil Fawlty in Fawlty Towers which, 50 years on, is still one of TV's best ever comedies...if not THE best.
For playing her part in giving me so many laughs, I have to say, RIP.
My favourite Halloween films...Halloween (1978), Trick 'R' Treat, Halloween Town (1&2), Hocus Pocus and Scared Shrekless.
How about you folks?
He made many films, without ever being the main star. But, for me, his most famous line will always be, "KNEEL BEFORE ZOD".
RIP Terrence Stamp.
Those Geordies are really starting to get right up my nose.
Best horror book ever, has to be Stephen King's IT. It has all kinds of ghosts, ghouls and monsters, not to mention all childhood terrors (monsters in the closet, bogeyman, etc).
I must've read it ten times over the past 35 years or so, and just never tire of it.
What's your own favourite?
Why are the Newcastle fans claiming to have been "bullied" by Liverpool?
Liverpool made an offer for one of their players, Newcastle turned them down, and Liverpool moved on.
In what universe is that "bullying"?
Can anyone still remember the days when people liked U2?
I'm so saddened by the death of Jim Shooter, Marvel's chief editor and publisher right through the 80s, an era considered by many (myself included) to be the last real Golden Age of Comics.
Favourite TAA moments? For me, it has to be THAT corner.
Not ANOTHER 'Carrie' adaptation??? This must be the fourth or fifth. They Know they'll never top the original, so what's the point?
They'll be bringing out a MUSICAL version next...oh, WAIT!!!
