One of the false notions I really hate about kink, is "Regular sex not enough for you anymore?"
No, I was kinky long before I ever had "regular sex". In fact, I know that many of my kinks and fetishes exist because no one educated me about "regular sex", and I had no way to safetly explore it...
... or even my own body within the context of consensual pleasure.
I don't think I've ever met a person who "ran out" of enjoyment of regular sex and then turned to kink.
They're kinky first. Try regular sex for a while, and it's not enough. Because human desire and pleasure is SO VARIED.
Jan 31, 2026 20:17I always smile a little knowingly when I speak with my clients and they tell me they're not kinky, but then have a LAUNDRY LIST of things they would like to try in the bedroom.
They have been suffering from neglect and judgement their whole life, and not getting what they need to feel satisfied.
"But what about people who ramp up..."
What about thrill seekers who need a better roller coaster? Who need to climb a higher mountain? You want to tell them "Being on the ground isn't enough for you?"
Humanity, you're smarter than this. You just want to view sex on some other plane of reality.
