- Does Free Bus Travel to Hampden Park with your event ticket sound like a good idea? We think so! 🛣️ Less congestion 🚗 Less parking chaos 🌳 Better for our climate 💃Better for Mount Florida Sign our call to the @scottish here: greens.scot/hampdenbuses
- Reposted by Holly BruceGreat work @patrickharvie.bsky.social and @hollybruce.bsky.social Greens are calling for free bus travel to and from Hampden for anyone who has a ticket for a match or event at the stadium. This would lower costs for fans while relieving road congestion! www.heraldscotland.com/sport/257009...

- The Scottish Government has dropped the Misogyny bill.
- This bill would have criminalised catcalling and street harassment. Would have ensured women and non-binary folk felt safer on public transport. It would criminalise behaviour that causes fear, alarm and degradation.
- And crucially, it would begin a culture shift, and give women the confidence to be mobile, have independence and feel empowered in their every day lives.

- I’m appalled by this decision. I will be writing to the @scottishfa.bsky.social to understand why and who made this decision, whether trans athletes were consulted and if clubs were part of the decision making process. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
- Reposted by Holly BruceTrans People Make Glasgow 🏳️⚧️ It was fantastic seeing @scottishgreens.org women like @irisduane.bsky.social , @theelaineg.bsky.social , & @hollybruce.bsky.social speak proudly in solidarity today in George Square - which we will continue to do today & always ✊️💚
- Reposted by Holly BruceWe'd urge people not to panic - there will be lots of commentary coming out quickly that is likely to deliberately overstate the impact that this decision is going to have on all trans people's lives. We'll say more as soon as we're able to. Please look out for yourselves and each other today 💗🏳️⚧️
- I’ll always campaign for laws & policies to be improved to ensure trans folks can live with dignity and respect. @scottishtrans.bsky.social have called for the community not to panic & to try and seek solace and support. Sending love to the trans community today, and always.
- Reposted by Holly BruceNow on to Labour's motion on women's safety, @hollybruce.bsky.social brings Green amendments that looks to embed the fight against gender-based violence across the Council.💚
- Reposted by Holly BruceNext, @hollybruce.bsky.social highlights the rise of violence against women & girls on Public Transport, & what action will be taken to reduce this 💚
- Sitting in on ARUP’s Feminist City Training with a huge room of Glasgow council officers (with many Heads of Service!). Applying a gendered lens is everyone’s job and I’m delighted GCC and the Feminist Urbanist group agreed to host the first of (I hope) many sessions.
- Reposted by Holly BruceA great final night of speaking to voters before the Southside Central By-election tomorrow! If you live in the area remember to vote Laura Vroomen #1 for a fairer, greener city. Polls are open from 7am - 10pm!
- Reposted by Holly BruceYesterday we wrote to Glasgow MPs, highlighting our deep concern about decisions made by the UK government and the devastating impact they're having on Glasgow's health and social care services. Without additional funding, there will be approx. 140 job losses this year alone.
- Restoring teacher numbers, no cuts to childcare, money to cleansing & cycleways, free public transport pilot, 8mil climate capital, continuation of the feminist city fund & investing money in the violence against women & girls team - lots of incredible wins in the budget. Now we need to deliver it.
- Reposted by Holly BruceToday is budget day! Your @scottishgreens.org Councillors have agreed a joint budget with the SNP to tackle the key needs for Glaswegians 💚 Here's a thread of what is in it 👇

- Had the privilege of a tour of Glasgow's new safer drug consumption facility this afternoon - The Thistle - before it opens next week.
- The facility has been designed with folk with real lived experience and developed from learnings from Melbourne, Zurich and Copenhagen. The staff are incredibly skilled and passionate and provide holistic, anonymous support to anyone who presents themselves
- There are showers, a clothing store, laundry facilities, kitchen, relaxation spaces and space to discuss housing, employment and other key services. They use trauma informed language like chat rooms and user spaces to help destigmatise and combat shame
- This will, most importantly, save lives. But it will also help with the strain and cost placed on the NHS, social work and Police. It can provide routes out for those who choose it. It humanises Scotland’s drug crisis and centres it in a place of wellbeing and trust.
- I am backing @asthmalungscot.bsky.social in calling for stricter air quality limits in Scotland. Add your signature to their petition to @scotparl.bsky.social via the link 👇

- After the announcement yesterday of the indefinite ban of puberty blockers in England, I’m concerned about the impact this could have in Glasgow and on the mental health of young trans folk.
- Cllr Reid-McConnell and I have been raising this within council structures and will continue to put trans voices at the heart of all discussions.
- If there are any constituents with specific concerns please do get in touch on Holly.bruce@glasgow.gov.uk
