- Ever notice how lawful neutral is nearly just as bad as lawful evil?
- Brennan Lee Mulligan or Matt Mercer?
- I live in literally the reddest state in the country. Nobody here gives a fuck if you say “Happy Holidays.” I’m so exhausted by this manufactured outrage.
- All those mom jokes in It are gonna hit different now after Welcome to Derry season 1.
- Gotta give the It movies props: it’s the first time in a franchise a horror film was followed by a comedy.
- Well. Pluribus is the best thing I’ve watched this year. But duh.
- Kinda got an itch to write a horror novel in 15 days. 🤔
- We’re all about to go from “Release the files!” to “Who’s Bubba?”
- Oh look. Trump’s in the files. Crazy.
- Spotify is running ICE ads. So… bye Spotify
- Weird project idea: a book of learning spellcasting done in the style of a high school textbook.
- Watching Democrats do politics is like watching Ralph Wiggum play chess.
- Shelley Duvall gave the best performance in The Shining. If it wasn’t for her, the other performances would have felt downright goofy.
- Sourdough starter is the closest thing to a real life Lovecraftian horror there is. The fuck you mean you have a jar of wild fungus that you have to feed every day that will occasionally reward you with bread?
- XAN•THO•PHO•BI•A. Xanthophobia is a rare phobia characterized by an intense and irrational fear of the color yellow. It is a type of specific phobia, which is a type of anxiety disorder.
- Writing a “letters to the editor” section for one of my Fifth Edition D&D books. Ask me anything about 5e or TTRPGs in general! 👇
- If you could have anyone DM a game for you, who would you choose?
- The damage a trap does is inversely proportional to how hard it is to spot and avoid. The more damage, the easier to spot. Pit trap. Hard to spot. Deals minor damage. Big gem held in the mouth of a (trapped) statue surrounded by skeletons reaching for it. Easy to spot. Big damage.
- Quick dungeon room population tool using a bell curve. Roll 2d6: Range 2 to 12, 2 being extremely dangerous and 12 is very safe/helpful. 7 is an empty room. Results divisible by 3 have treasure. Even numbers are encounters. Odd numbers are traps, hazards, obstacles.
- How to quickly design a village: 1) Make a map. Use watabou.itch.io. It’s got villages, towns, and regions.
- 28 Years Later is fantastic.
- Just had an eBay buyer leave negative feedback because we “used the cheapest shipping available.” We actually spent 150% more than the buyer paid for. Didn’t even contact us. I have to deal with shit like this every fucking day and it’s exhausting.
- 365 Days of Villages 13/365: Mistwood A thriving crusader outpost where tensions run high between the human and fey-touched populations.
