I'm trying to give the new Wuthering Heights film the benefit of the doubt when it comes to costume design. Because I do think strict devotion to historical accuracy can crush artistic freedom. It can prevent a director from fully embracing their vision!
And I thought the costumes for Frankenstein looked bad until I saw them within the context of the film. Within the film they become incredible, and from what I've seen it has the best costume design of last year.
