- Any chance any ER nurses follow me on here? I need to ask a question about procedure. It’s for something I’m writing.
- OK, quick question: where is triage done? Is it done in the waiting room, off to the side? It’s fortunately been a while since I’ve been to the ER, and most times I was there, I was a little out of it and don’t remember that.
- “Whose family owns Stuyvesant Town” — sorry, as somebody who went to college not too far from there, that’s a masters of the universe guy? Maybe it’s changed, but IME Stuy Town was a glorified college dorm where are the floor was always sticky and men introduced themselves to you by offering you E
- I’ve literally heard this before, actors being called brats when they advocated for being paid overtime, etc. It also makes you wonder a bit about the “stage parent” archetype. There ARE many terrible showbiz parents, but how many were just labeled “difficult” for advocating for their own kids?
- I’ve seen parents living vicariously through their kids, being neglectful, all sorts of terrible things. I’ve also seen parents who just took strong, principled stances, and dared to argue for kids’ welfare. And I’ve seen them get lumped together.
- Yeah, and this is where child performers and child athletes are the most vulnerable. Because we are inherent people pleasers. Back in the 90s, everybody used to think we were spoiled brats. But spoiled brats don’t get very far in those industries.
