- MY REFLECTIONS: The @CIJ_ICJ advisory opinion marks a profound legal affirmation that climate obligations are not aspirational, they are mandatory. Yet, my relief is tempered by concern: will States heed this mandate or treat it as another well-worded academic text with no teeth.
