- for weeks, I've wanted a Mr. Rogers cardigan garden flag for my front yard. it doesn't exist. yesterday it hit me that I could MAKE the damn thing. this is probably just an ADHD itch that'll disappear once it's scratched, but I usually don't pay them enough attention to find out.
- six days later... we finally feel comfortable being out and doing things. but it's still icy and the roads are still a mess.

- I no longer see one-and-done actions like this as a solution, we need to keep the heat up longer. but I'm also not going to not share/participate.
- my preparations are in place... I think I just need to finish laundry and then I'm set to chill for 3 days. we'll be iced in. hopefully we won't lose power like in 2021, that was miserable. I stocked up on shelf stable snacks this time at least.
- hard to believe we're about to have a major winter storm and be below freezing for a few days. it was 63F today.
