- I never thought I’d say this. I never thought I wouldn’t say this. I never thought a thing about this until now. I’m going to say this, so stand back. Editing my fiction thrills me in such a way that writing a first draft never can.
- “Don’t get me wrong, when I utilise the room to write, I activate the oil-filled radiator in advance, because I love heat more than I hate the cold.”
- We had the most wonderful time tomorrow. Everyone agrees, we should do it again last week.
- Slow asleep and fast awake - now clinically recognised as a brain dysfunction plaguing the lives of fiction writers.
- 🩵💜💚🤍❤️💛🩷💙💜 Real writers don’t bitch about the struggle. They walk to a shop. They buy cigarettes and alcohol.
- micro fiction at its finest -
- The fact that one wakes after sleeping, is not, in itself, proof that one is woke. 🙃
- When I begin writing a short story, I sometimes wonder what Noah’s approach was to constructing an arc.

- Is grocery shopping free for fiction writers, or did I just make that up? - justaskin -
- After ten weeks with a live-in life-editor, it’s become apparent that I’m not the person I thought I was. This revelation has been a huge shock, as you might imagine, though not as big and tall as the financial burden I now face, which is the cost of relocation to the far off country were I ...
- Slow asleep and fast awake is now clinically recognised as a condition suffered by fiction writers.
- You’re not certain if it’s A.M. or P.M.. You can’t be sure if the last meal you had was breakfast or dinner. It takes a moment’s thought to determine if you live alone or have a housemate or partner …
- Good morning 🌞
- On my way to the bank to discuss repayment options for a super-king bed purchase.

- Four minutes ago I walked into Lidl and purchased intoxicating liquor, almonds, oranges and mushrooms. When I came out it was dark. It wasn’t dark when I went in. I have asked to speak to the store manager.
- I stopped reading a book and drinking coffee to post this. 🙂
- Remember, remember come bloody November the choice facing many will be eat or heat?
- Hi ♥️
- To happen on a happy Halloween holiday makes it all the more distressing and unforgivable. I’m currently sitting in a rainy Tesco carpark after an unbelievably harrowing exchange at their customer service desk. I’m in my car, so don’t worry about me.
- the holy grail for indie authors – becoming economically inactive.
- 🙂 maybe tomorrow but definitely by Saturday – Dr Martens 🥾
- I love all dogs but I love-love Chihuahuas🧡🩵♥️ 💛💜🐕
- Are you an author? Keep your manuscript close to your chest, this Halloween. Ghost writers are everywhere.

- When Push comes to Shove, it’s because she wants some advice and has nobody else to confide in. Shove is a great listener. She’s compassionate and always makes time in her busy schedule for Push.
- Hi, Please share this post so others know! If anyone receives an email, supposedly from me, asking for money or saying I'm not well and need help, please do not ...
- Not quite a panic attack but a similar experience that instead occurs deep within one’s bowels. Standing to leave, after a reasonably pleasant visit at a friend’s house – it’s been over a year – she removes a book from the shelf at the left hand side of the fire breast and offers it to me. ...
- 👇 "But the dentist, mind already on deep-fried mushroom caps and happy hour with slinky new hygienist, missed a whit of rot in the hole, so that by Saturday morning our woman’s cheek had puffed up, disfiguring her face."
- Ventricular walls are thicker than atrial walls because the ventricles have to pump blood further. The left ventricle wall is thicker than the right because it pumps blood around the body while the right pumps blood to the lungs. Just wanted to share something close to my heart. Ally. 🙂
- No live organism can continue for long to exist sanely under conditions of absolute reality; even larks and katydids are supposed, by some, to dream. Shirley Jackson - “The Haunting of Hill House”
- Scrolling Baby Shark videos day after day, is generally regarded as acceptable behaviour for a writer who’s about to plunge head first into the craziness of a second book of fiction. 🙂
- procrastinators are seldom selfish
- “The success is not mine, the failure is not mine, but the two together make me.” Charles Dickens
- Yesterday, I was in a bricks and mortar bookshop to buy a nonfiction book. It was a new release. Because the book was on a shelf in a shop on the high street, I could have read a sample, the first chapter even before deciding to buy it, which is what I would have done if it was a book of fiction.
- No amount of advertising will sway me - Concerning fiction, if I don't know the author's work, or read a credible recommendation, I will not purchase the book. Only a sample reading will change my mind. Credible is subjective🙂
- The Gatsby is Great, in my opinion!
- If I complete a crime writer’s course, will it enable me to realise a successful career as a criminal or is that just fantasy?
