Matthews & Wood analysed questions asked to experts by legislative committees in the UK. While they expected politicians to ask populist questions, this was actually rare.

- Why did some governments respond slower to COVID-19 than others? This recent study in @psjeditor.bsky.social by Liu et al. attributes slow response to low trust in government, political parties, parliament, and civil service. Moreover, the authors attribute stringent COVID policies to individualism.
