- BACK in English after 40 years! Originally published in 1985, Hélène Cixous’ ANGST has been unavailable in English for four decades. Now, in a stunning new translation by Sophie Lewis, this genre-defying work returns… Published by Silver Press on 16 March Foreword by Jamieson Webster

- And here: www.bookbrunch.co.uk/page/article... (subscriptions may be necessary). April is the kick-off with a breakout hit from Brazil, and a debut translation into English for EXEMPLARY HUMANS by Juliana Leite Proofs, currently crowding around my desk, will hopefully be with YOU soon…
- I’ve been sitting on this news for so long I can hardly believe it’s finally ‘out the bag’… If you’ve read the trade press you may already have spotted that @twolinespress.com will be launching in the UK next April! In case you missed it, read here: www.thebookseller.com/news/two-lin...
- Highly recommend seeing The Reckoning by @dasharts.bsky.social @arcolatheatre.bsky.social - a deeply affecting play about everyday Ukrainians in extraordinary circumstances. Based on stories collected by three female journalists. Plus you get to sample this exquisite summer salad + the recipe.
- What’s better than two deep thinkers in conversation? Margaret Atwood, the Sage, is sublime as always, smirking at humanity’s biggest ideas, and telling us to ‘Watch the mushrooms’. Ezra Klein’s a little less Ezra Klein in this one, and rightly so. open.spotify.com/show/3oB5noY...
- Fell sleep listening to this philosophically rich interview w Ocean Vuong last night. Woke up this am and listened to it all over again. A lovely way to start a Sunday: youtu.be/CAlDAm74jE8?...
- A very successful visit to the Garden Museum in Lambeth today. Beautiful cafe (highly recommend booking, and the outdoor dining is perfect when the weather is nice), excellent food and wine selection, plus a smorgasbord of goodies in the gift shop, impossible to resist… Highly recommend.
- I can listen to Ta-Nehisi Coates discuss just about anything. His mind, and his ability to explain his reasoning, is a balm. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/t...
