- Sadly, this actually sounds totally possible.
- It is really infuriating to see how misogyny really does unite men across the sociopolitical spectrum. And, in so far as the Epstein files go, they sort women into two categories: fuckable or irrelevant. When they near a hint of accountability they complain about not being able to make women prey.
- Big Oil "purchased solar and EV patents to ensure others couldn’t use them, solicited control of renewable markets and then abandoned them, and funded powerful institutions to promote false solutions, all while using trade groups to downplay the harms of fossil fuels, according to the complaint." 😠
- Unsolicited writing advice, no. 320: Writing complex characters is great in principle, but in practice often results in messy, difficult characterization. If that's you, try choosing just TWO main characteristics to start off with - one positive, one negative - and build on those as you progress.
- one thing i have noticed is a lot of folks do not seem to understand the difference between a presidential election and 435+ legislative elections. i have seen any number of people say that you could subvert the outcome this november by targeting “swing states,” which does not make any sense.
- i will never stop thinking about the intersection of epstein and the shitty media men list
- the Epstein files are really devastating because they remind me of how many girls and women miss out on professional opportunities, mentorship and careers because of how many powerful, rich and influential men only view girls and women — and interactions with them — through the lens of sex
- “Blanket bans on #transgender women in sport are not supported by the best available evidence,” said endocrinologist Dr Ada Cheung from The University of Melbourne, adding that “fairness and inclusion can coexist”. www.independent.co.uk/news/science...
- Same guy who also gave a speech saying that people like me (immigrants) are making the country into “an island of strangers”.
- I can't stand those 'you should monetise your hobby' people. No, Chad, I should do my hobby because it fulfils me in ways that work does not, because I am more than my economic output, because there is joy in doing something just because.
- Incredible. They destroyed a great newspaper because they hated the people who actually paid for it and read it so much that they'd rather scrap the paper if they couldn't get Tucker Carlson's audience bsky.app/profile/maxt...
- I really hate that media layoffs have been happening for the last three years, including my own, and most of the people responsible for the mismanagement won't experience any negative consequences, especially for decimating the number of people of color in so many American newsrooms.
- It's time for Americans to stop referring to Trump and his cabinet full of lawless thugs as an "administration" and identify them as what they truly are: A REGIME. Only then can the others remove their blinders. It is time to create a pre-midterm election action plan. Time is running out
- The layoffs at the Washington Post have begun, with newsroom leaders telling employees its sports and books sections will be 'eliminated in current forms' and its international coverage will be downsized
- This will be like the 1970'a type devastation to the North American big three when people wanted smaller fuel efficient vehicles, they couldn't pivot fast enough. Chinese EV leaders MG and BYD bring the price war overseas share.google/WACyvigCzKng...
- The mass layoffs at the Washington Post feel worse than the ones made during 2020, especially after the ones at NBC News, CBS, and the WSJ. So many smart and experienced people will leave the industry forever.
- Democracy dies in broad daylight under billionaire ownership
- The Washington Post embarked on severe cuts despite appeals by the newsroom to owner Jeff Bezos. The paper is to narrow its focus largely to politics and national security. n.pr/4qAlWBj
- Dear Film Industry, Wouldn't it be nice to have a film version of WUTHERING HEIGHTS that was: 1. Filmed in Yorkshire 2. With actors that one could plausibly believe to be from Yorkshire 3. Of the right age (teens and 20s) 4. Actually scripted by someone who has read the book ALL the way through?
- So the “elected” President with his elected majority House and Senate says they have to takeover elections because Dems cheat. Make that argument make sense.
- hate hate haaaate how firmly attached this country is to refusing to produce anything of worth rn just 5 companies own everything make nothing
- Bezos isn't destroying the Washington Post because it isn't profitable. He's destroying the Washington Post because he's calculated that a robust free press threatens the ability of his class to warp society around their interests

- Really proud of New Mexico! www.koat.com/article/immi...
- lol there it is!
- Here we are 2026. I've been saying he's not presidential material and don't vote for him for 12 years. How many crimes has to happened before the people go WTF! I can't believe anyone in this country would allow a criminal to be in the presidential office let alone in any position of trust.

- ICE is demanding the employment records at a Maine jail after a sheriff openly criticized immigration agents for arresting one of his guards
- My favorite genre of Epstein emails are powerful people emailing WITH JEFFREY EPSTEIN about how MeToo has gone too far and the woke mob must be stopped.
- Garcia: I want to remind the American public of Stephen Miller. There's probably no single person in this government that has done more damage and more harm to people across this country than this man right here. It's our job to hold him responsible
- holy shit

- This is one of the most important cases that galvanized Black people in the late 40s through the 1950s. Almost every major Black leader had a comment about it. It is also one of the most successful defense committees that was organized in the 20th century. Almost no one knows about it today.
- There has to be an investigation into the many individuals who committed heinous crimes alongside Epstein. There should be a special prosecutor, or a congressional investigation, that looks into the crimes and the ongoing cover-up. It has to happen.
- China to become first country to ban hidden car door handles. This due to safety concerns after EV accidents where electronic doors reportedly failed to operate and trapped passengers inside. Sky News apple.news/A-SUXHfAvTiC...
- Judge rules members of Congress can inspect all ICE detention centers without appointment. "...DHS Sec. Kristi Noem re-implemented a notice requirement…..[which] required 7-days’ warning for visits to [ICE] facilities... funded exclusively by the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’..." thehill.com/regulation/c...

- AOC on ICE: It’s our task to figure out how to claw back what has essentially supercharged this agency into becoming a relentless domestic paramilitary that is also a blank check to Palantir to create facial-recognition scans on U.S. citizens.
- Last year, I was constantly worried about my TN work visa being revoked. I could also be rejected by a CBP officer any time I re-entered the US, so my immigration lawyer advised no travel. After I was laid off, I had only 60 days to find a new job or I had to physically leave the US by December 31.

- Every day Mamdani comes out and is like "hey guys, I turned off the orphan-crushing machine. Literally just had to flip a switch. Took less than 5 minutes." After decades of dem leadership pissing and moaning and fundraising about how complex an issue it is and how difficult the process is etc
- From 2019: Jeffrey Epstein liked to describe himself as a “science philanthropist,” and academics liked to take his money. As more of Epstein’s enablers are uncovered, it’s worth asking why it was so easy for him to infiltrate science in the first place. Read more from @lopatto.bsky.social:

- Sadly, this is the ICE M.O.: Assault innocent people and then tell elaborate lies to blame the victim. No judge should give any credence to anything a DHS lawyer says to them. They have proven themselves to be liars too often.
- How the Supreme Court secretly made itself even more secretive Amid calls to increase transparency and revelations about the court’s inner workings, the chief justice imposed nondisclosure agreements on clerks and employees.
- Well well well. Looks like they were correct. They just lied about who it was.
