- Every time someone makes fun of PCG's headline length, I put in a support ticket to get the maximum size bumped up another 50 characters.
- Finally got around to watching Oppenheimer, and while it was generally good, the bit where he happens to translate /that/ quote from the Bhagavad Gita mid-sex scene is maybe the most cringe bit of filmmaking I've seen this decade.
- If PC Gamer wrote about films, I'd be spinning up a "Top 10 clunkiest ways biopics depict The One Thing Everyone Knows About A Guy" listicle right about now.
- It's my last day of work this year, which means everyone who has added a meeting to my diary for this afternoon is being added to a list.
- The list is marked "valued colleagues who I respect and value continued collaboration with" naturally.
- Not entirely sure what this console is for any more.
- "Well, you used me to play the worst Yakuza game. Err, see you next year?"
- Didn't quite manage to argue my way into getting Blue Prince the main GOTY award, but this is a good list regardless.

- This really rings hollow when "lawless space cowboy shit" is already a rich vein of Destiny storytelling, but also one severely lacking in the current version of the game. This just reads as Bungie jettisoning the 'vibe' already built in favour of the version of it that lets them have lightsabers.

- Based on what I've played so far, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 feels like a real modern Oblivion successor. Only instead of helping Sheogorath unleash a storm of burning dogs, you're tracking the village idiot to his sauerkraut den because he's stolen half the cabbages.

- I will say this for The Game Awards: it's an audacious excercise in branding. The discourse every year suggests that people genuinely believe it's /the/ de facto official industry award show, but like, they just called it that. It's a trick. A spell that only works if you believe.
- Anyway, my top tip is to mentally find-and-replace "The Game Awards" with "The Spike VGAs". "Here's the big problem with The Game Awards": Oh no. Sounds serious. Let's put our best minds on this. "Here's the big problem with The Spike VGAs": oh lol. who cares?
