So what type of combat is everyone rocking in #Avowed? I'm loving the spellbook and wand from a distance, and when the enemy closes in I switch loadouts for a sword and shield Battle Mage ftw 🧙‍♂️

I’m still very early on in the game and still figuring thing out, but I’m partial to the grimoire and the wand. Once I’ve figured out how to swap loadouts, I’ll have a sword. Not sure about the shield yet, I’ve never been that keen on them.

Do you just tank the hits then?

I done about an hour of it so far. I think the combat has some awesome options and everything else is pretty familiar and standard. I'm alright with that though. I could see myself getting really into it.

Aye definitely has that familiar feel but still feels completely new! I'm enjoying it a lot. Seems most people are going with Mage builds

The Grimoire and wand are pretty unique. I can't think of any similar game that's uses them.
