- Thank you to everyone who contributed #KingTides photos to the California King Tides Project. Your photos help us understand the impacts of sea level rise and the climate crisis. Today's king tides are tomorrow's every day high tides. See the photos at arcg.is/0Gy5Cq
- Reposted by California King Tides ProjectCalifornia just experienced its warmest December since 1895, shattering the previous record by 1.3 degrees. That may surprise people in the bay and valley, but late-month warmth also offset the cold start there and a ring of records encircled the state. Read: www.sfchronicle.com/weather/arti...

- Still working on photo review, but I have to say that the California #KingTides photographers/volunteers/community scientists (what would you like to be called? Superstars?) are superstars. This is where the photos are being posted: arcg.is/0Gy5Cq (1/?)
- Tomorrow is the last #KingTides day of this season. There are a bunch of local community events being hosted by organizations from up in Humboldt to down in San Diego tomorrow, so if you'd like to be with King Tides AND people, check them out! www.coastal.ca.gov/kingtides (2/?)
- Please be safe when you observe the #KingTides. The ocean is no joke, and flooded roads are no joke. Also, be aware of shore birds and other animals that may be much farther upland than usual, and may be stressed by the extreme high tides. Enjoy our coast safely. (3/?)
