- My two food pet peeves. 1. Calling things kimchi that are not kimchi. 2. The overuse of rice paper. Ex: You can call bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheese wrapped in a rice paper spiral a bagel but that does not make it one. Additions, friends?

- This week has been so mentally, physically and emotionally draining that I plunked face first into Ruth's belly floof last night and she, being the best kitty, let me lay there for a good few minutes unmoving before giving me the "enough" nudge.

- Ruth received a box of cat toys from a family friend. She has been acting strange every since. Sitting in a tense loaf and then running after them, licking them, etc.... Well....they're all filled with catnip. She's stoned out of her mind.
- In light of the shooting at Brown University, a reminder: please don't rush to post in order to be first. Wait for substantive evidence from reliable sources lest you inadvertently spread misinformation. As a Rhode Islander who grew up a few miles from Brown, this one hits home.
