- telling myself i will use my imminent unemployment to really get ahead of my papers I have to write and proposals for more papers and maybe actually write for my substack. as if I won't in fact so something crazy like watch all 481 episodes of NCIS or whatever
- i need to treat it like a job. like ernie goes to work and I go to the desk (or the library) and lock the fuck in. will I? or will I just go to the cinema at 12pm

- each morning I read an extract of a different influential lesbian pulp fiction novel. we will never know the real identities of most of these authors. I can, however, say confidently that a cis man wrote the one I just got through
- great news everyone. I followed up with the next extract and it was heartbreakingly raw and vulnerable and I believe once again that lesbins were writing some lesbian pulp fiction. what a relief
- there's a lesbian pulp fiction book in the library and i know it is there and i lowkey can't stop thinking about it
- anyway. the good news is I got accepted into the Dracula conference as a speaker and also that I got asked to cover a friend's job while he's on medical leave at the museum. the bad news is I will be working 6 days a week for 7 weeks
- that time of year again ... googling how to cure burnout in 1 day because I have work again tomorrow
- we have 3 days off for sweden and then I am currently set to work the entirety of the rest of december into Jan. I forgot this aspect of hospitality, especially as a supervisor. Ernie is off for 2 weeks and we will be home together for exactly 1 of those days

- chef told me yesterday that my eyeshadow is very pretty and today tells me i am more attractive every day. fellas (gn), is my chef a chaser?

- tomorrow is my last real bit of time before terror camp and also the ffe deadline and im very stressed about it thanks for asking!
- i am countering this by showing up at the night cafe at midday and intending to stay until at least one of these things (terror camp) is finished, as long as it takes. my shift the next day is 9:30am i could be in that cafe for 12 hours

- MANY humbling experiences in london today
- 1) choice bar is too full of heteros so I suggest beloved gay bar frequented by old queens. And old queen behind the bar IDs me during a moment of pure relief as I decompress from all the busy heterosexuality I have been around. I have no ID. I'm 28 years old.
- The bar staff then tells me that not only can they not serve me alcohol because they've verbally asked, but they can't serve me AT ALL because it's an 18+ bar. I am forced to leave. I AM TWENTY EIGHT YEARS OLD. A trans woman behind the bar who is overwhelmingly hot watches it all play out silently.
- 2) at the theatre (we're there to watch pready be a hot man of the cloth), an usher says 'cool shirt'. I'm so startled that I spill red wine all over the stairs and my shirt and have to go back to tell them. It was a shirt from the Dan H/owell hardback book launch.
- tomorrow im going back to the night cafe to try to get SOMEWHERE in either of the deadlines next sunday and i am desperate to actually achieve something
- taking only my laptop and a load of snacks. going to lock the fuck in
- place ur bets how far off the mark is my terror camp talk? it's definitely MORE than 15 minutes but how many more
