- The list:- 200 Linnets, 50 Chaffinches, 10 Reedbuntings, 2 Red-legged partridges, 3 meadow pipits, 1 snipe, 1 stonechat, 2 Goldfinches in the seed crop. A Heron and Red Kite hunting the area. Plus Thrushes, Robins,etc in the surrounding bushes. The trail camera footage of Foxes, Rabbits, Roe Deer.
- 7 hectares for playing field is given to nature in a partnership between the RSPB local group and Worcester University at Lakeside Campus. 2 hectares are birdseed crop. I checked yesterday and considering it was mown grass 4/5 years ago the diversity and numbers of birds is quite amazing.
- Tomorrow please come to Wildgoose, learn about our many bird conservation projects. Feeding Corn Buntings, making a 45 acre nature reserve and much more.
- The Worcester & Malvern RSPB with the CRT and WEG have made and installed 3 sand martin boxes on the Severn, at Diglis, Holt and Bevere lock Islands. Check out our website for all our bird conservation projects. group.rspb.org.uk/worcester/ne...
- Wood sand at Camp Lane pits today. Western shore of main pit.
- 3 LRP’s and a common sand at Clifton
- 2 LRP’s at Clifton.
- Clifton buzzing with birds this morning. A ruddy shelduck with 30 Egyptian geese in a field between the main pit and the Severn. 70+ Pintail, plus all the usual wildfowl.
- A brief potter round CLP, good to meet Paul. Understand this BHG ringed in Poland.
- I saw 3 swallows at Lossiemouth, Highlands on Thursday, 7th Nov!!
- Nice to see a Noctule Bat flying over CLP Grimley this evening.
- Fields on east side of CLP, a nice feeding flock, reed, willow, chiffchaff, blackcap and whitethroat warblers. Also a smart juv redstart.
- Clifton, two wheatears, common sand, LRP, 2 gt wts, 3-4 yellow wags.
