- Reposted by Eve LivingstonI hadn’t known this. Two men who were accused of sexual abuse on the Shitty Media Men document that I created back in 2017 reached out to Michael Wolff for help as they looked to sue me, and Wolf forwarded their concerns to Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein offered to help. www.jmail.world/thread/EFTA0...
- Legal people: can the public take notes in Scottish courts? Today I was asked for my press ID because “we can’t just have anyone coming in taking notes”. I had always assumed you literally could have anyone coming in taking notes?!
- I have press ID and am happy to show it btw! I know *I’m* allowed to take notes. But I never questioned whether the general public were too?!
- Extremely jarring to see women being harassed and assaulted referred to as "a sexual safety problem"
- Reposted by Eve LivingstonI find this sickening, tbh. The claim that simply being in the presence of a trans woman creates a “a hostile, humiliating and degrading environment” for cis women could not be more transphobic* if it tried. *Literally: showing discrimination against, aversion to, or fear of, transgender people

- What does it mean to grow up in a "company town" in 2025? Sellafield, Europe's largest nuclear site, invests millions and employs thousands in Whitehaven, Cumbria. But not all young people feel the benefits are reaching them equally. I visited for The Guardian: www.theguardian.com/environment/...
- Reposted by Eve Livingston🚨 Our new investigation out today reveals how thousands of people who've taken their bosses to employment tribunals & won, never got paid, even after they approached the government for help. - I'm always moaning that there's no perks to my usual social affairs beat - so last month I moonlighted as a lifestyle journalist to tour some of Scotland's most scenic wild saunas, the results of which are in yesterday's Observer. Now considering a career shift... observer.co.uk/culture/phot...

- Reposted by Eve LivingstonRooting out abusers and transforming the cultures that enable them is vital and urgent work if we are to address the extreme loss of trust and confidence in the justice system it has caused. observer.co.uk/news/nationa...
- Reposted by Eve LivingstonThe power held by police officers means they should meet the highest standards of conduct. Yet systemic, institutional failures have allowed police-perpetrated abuse to persist unchecked, with abusers rarely facing meaningful consequences.

- Reposted by Eve LivingstonThis is the story of three policewomen abused by other officers - of how their perpetrators' police training, authority and access shaped their abuse, and how their forces abused them all over again when they tried to speak up: observer.co.uk/news/nationa...
- Reposted by Eve LivingstonTheir experiences are horrifying; there are dozens of details that each made my jaw drop when I heard them. But I was also in awe of their strength & solidarity - how finding each other has saved them all, and made them into activists determined to change things together.
- Reposted by Eve LivingstonShe wanted to talk about what she'd been through, and what happened when she tried to speak up to her own force. And she wanted to introduce me to her friends - two more policewomen, from two more forces, who had eerily similar stories of abuse, gaslighting, and closed ranks.
- Reposted by Eve Livingston🧵 In February, I got a message from Anna*, a female police officer. She was a domestic abuse specialist, responding daily to calls from women abused by their partners. But she was also in an abusive marriage herself, for more than a decade - and her abuser was another officer.
- Reposted by Eve LivingstonI am not even surprised at this point. Of course this happens. Pattern of behaviour. But thank Goddess that Eve got the story out.
