- Just finished listening to Mephiston: City of Light, wrapping up my several year long “listen to Blood Angels books while going on a walk” adventure. Feeling a bit sad now, I really enjoyed listening to Dante & Mephiston on my long walks. This is my recommended reading order for anyone interested:

- A new female Warhammer fan posted on Reddit asking if it’s ok to put female heads on space marines, got a ton of hate comments that it’s against the lore and to stop forcing their tourist changes on a hobby. I wonder if the same ppl will call this person a tourist for their awesome dog marine too 🤔

- I’m fine with characters dying, but it’s weird to kill off dudes from a video game in a news article for a tabletop game. There are going to be SO MANY casual Space Marine fans baffled when they load SM3 and don’t see them. Imagine if Chewbacca had died between Star Wars films in an RPG rulebook
- Something similar happened with Assassins Creed and it was terrible- the major cliffhanger of AC4 was an ancient god lady (long story) coming back and taking over the modern world. Then in the next game, no mention. Turns out they killed her in a comic book. Genuinely baffling & annoying as a player
- Got some kickstarter rewards in. New Guinea Campaign Vol. 1 - Australian Infantry and United Empire- Human Auxiliaries. So far happy with both, the Aux had a couple of broken guns but superglue fixed that. I’ll paint the Aussies as a present for my dad and I just liked the Aux as truescale humies
- Was gonna ignore Warhammer Heroes series 6 cause box doesn’t guarantee all the models like previous space marine heroes boxes did, but then found on Reddit people reported the unique codes, and was able to find all but the sergeant. Will paint as my custom chapter (&ordered the sarg from a reseller)
- And yes buying these is dumb and a waste of money but I enjoyed the Easter egg hunt of going to different stores and figuring out the codes and the thrill of sticking it to The Man trying to keep me from getting the whole set
