So, question for the old fogey's and other old farts here, when is the cut off for Oldhammer 40k? Are we talking everything 3rd edition? 4th edition? 5th?

Dec 14, 2025 08:20I’d say the line is the end of second/start of third. Plastic multipose marines and dark eldar are the harbringers of middlehammer.
I would say Middlehammer begins once Dark Eldar and Lizardmen appear
5th edition is modern to me.
I'd have to say 3rd is the absolute latest cut off off for Oldhammer, edging into middlehammer
