- Visually impaired version! Last night's rubbed indigo velvet sky with its faint spattering of stars has given way to a more workaday, rain-washed blue-grey, with just a hint of steely blue behind the castle. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment
- Visually impaired version! When I first went out, I caught the glimmer of a lingering star, but all was still apart from the chill wind buffeting the house and rushing through the trees. Whenever it paused to draw breath, the birds bravely chirruped in the hedges
- Visually impaired version! I went outside to look for the moon - and there it was, hiding behind a great sheet of ghost-cloud, rippled like a moonlit beach. And I remembered how cold those hard ridges of sand could feel under my bare feet and the distant shushing of the sea over pebbles
- Visually impaired version! A dark, opaque, deep mauve morning, with the distant hoot of an owl - always a John Masefield moment, though I don't think the wolves were running last night... #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment
- Visually impaired version! The moon was bright but fuzzy first thing, and had entirely vanished when I looked out later - except there was a strange, low, rather spectral patch of silvery-white in the flat, dark-grey sky, like celestial ectoplasm. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind

- Visually impaired version! The silvered clouds and high, bright moon of the very early hours has vanished into a sea of dense purple-grey, but the birds are singing, so dawn is near. Day follows night, and night follows day, that's immutable. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #visualimpairment

- Visually impaired version! When I first got up, the sky was a dark, opaque, purple-grey with a few strands of low, ink-dark cloud. It so far shows no sign of turning into a sunny winter's day like yesterday but then, you wouldn't think a chrysalis would turn into a butterfly
- Visually impaired version! Yesterday, at dusk, the birds from the rooky wood returned to roost with the usual outburst of hoarse cries and a great clatter of wings. They now have an outpost in a nearby tree, where they can watch me, in a very Daphne du Maurier way, revolving dark plots
- Visually impaired version! Last night the moon was riding high and bright in a dark purple rubbed velvet sky, and I caught a whole shoal of shining stars over the mountains. There are worlds within worlds, but thinking about it makes your head expand like the universe...
- Visually impaired version! The dark mauve sky is slowly growing lighter and the birds starting to sing, though the hunting owl has long since gone to roost. I hope the worst of the storm has now passed in other parts of the country where there has been flooding, and it soon subsides
- Visually impaired version! When I first got up, the dark mystery of the night still lent it's magic to the garden, the wind whispering in the trees and a starring of street lights through the thick hedges. Now the sky is turning a more workaday grey and handfuls of rain are spattering the window
- Visually impaired version! A dark, dull purple early morning, the sky merging into the hills in velvety folds, starred with street lights. There's an icy chill in the air, but the birds are already twittering sweetly in the hedges. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment
- Visually impaired version! The early sky was a very chic French navy blue, with a faint sprinkling of stars. I heard one grumpy, complaining crow and then, very close, an owl hooting. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment
- Visually impaired version! The early streaky purple-grey sky has given way to a soft, dark dove grey, and screaming seagulls are circling overhead. It sounds as if they're crying 'Luck! Luck! Luck!' in which case, I hope the charm works. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment
- Visually impaired version! A marbled dull pewter and pearl grey morning, an icy breeze sneaking in at the window, along with the hooting of woodpigeons nearby. But still, the saffron-yellow daffodils on my table remind me that spring will soon be here. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind
- Visually impaired version! Earlier, as the dense, dark mauve sky slowly lightened, it shaded into pearly grey behind the castle and along the tops of the hills with a few wisps of deep lavender cloud. The birds were already singing and the traffic shushing along the damp roads
- Visually impaired version! Last night the heavens had a strangely deep pink tint, but when I looked out this morning, the dark, dull pewter sky over the castle had been scraped away to reveal the silver lining... and I think that's the kind of day we're all hoping for
- Visually impaired version! The stars pursue their courses and appear in unexpected places - a delightful surprise. A bird briefly sang in the hedge, but quickly stilled, and I remembered happy times, standing in the garden under the night sky with old Dog, while he tried to remember why he was there
- Visually impaired version! I caught a bright shoal of stars in the net of my peripheral vision last night, but this morning they have moved around to a place where the street lights obscure them. But still, I saw them, and I am happier for it. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind
- Visually impaired version! Dawn has sneaked stealthily in, the sky slowly lightening to a lilac-grey, with only a faint tinge of amber behind the castle. The birds from the rooky wood just took off with a great clattering of wings and many hoarse, quarrelsome cries
- Visually impaired version! A dark, starless, silent world when I stepped into the garden this morning, with some of the mystery of the night still lingering. Then I heard the wind soughing in the treetops and the faint hoot of a hunting owl. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind
- Visually impaired version! Yesterday the evening sky was a silvery ice blue shading into palest amber over the mountains and the small, fluffy clouds were tinged with lemon and rose pink. This morning I opened the garden door to darkness, the brightest of stars and a chilly, insinuating breeze
- Visually impaired version! There was a clear, darkest blackberry sky when I first looked out, studded with bright stars. It might be the early bird who catches the worms, but it's the early author who catches something stellar. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment
- Visually impaired version! The woodpigeons were shouting in the trees yesterday afternoon, possibly inspired by the appearance of weak sunshine, but all is still, dark and silent this morning. I think I can make out a faint freckling of stars, but that might be just wishful thinking
- Visually impaired version! An opaque, moonless and starless early sky, with the short song of a small bird deep in the dark hedge, soon stilled. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment
