- Remembering Peggy Ann Garner, born in Canton, Ohio, on today's date in 1932. Her films included A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Jane Eyre, and Daisy Kenyon. Garner died from pancreatic cancer in 1984 at the age of 52.

- Remembering Barbara Stanwyck, who #dotd in 1990 at the age of 82. I love her in everything I've ever seen her in. Some of my many favorites are Baby Face, Double Indemnity, Night Nurse, and the underrated Internes Can't Take Money. Can you recommend a Stanwyck movie that doesn't get enough love?
