- Amazing work, integrating critical pedagogy to heritage language education through materials. We need more examples of such perspectives for all heritage language education programs.

- A wonderful analysis by Amanj Aziz for @theamargi.bsky.social which gives an idea of the recent situation in Rojava and exposes the "selective solidarity" when it comes to the Kurds.

- A highly progressive language policy is already in place in Kurdish-led Autonomous Region using Kurdish, Arabic, Armenian, Assyrian and Turkoman official languages and as medium of bilingual education. Sharaa's symbolic decree is not a step forward, but another move toward old style nationalism.
- My new habit is listening to @languageonthemove.bsky.social podcast. The last one was "Migration, constraints, and suffering" in which Ingrid Piller talks to Marco Santello about his research with Gambian migrants in Italy. Constraints & suffering are keywords in the highly engaging conversation.

- If you are looking for an intellectual analysis of what is going on in Iran, here is a wonderful interview with Prof. Dr. Abbas Vali, a professor of political philosophy and author of several foundational books and articles on and around Kurds and Iran. youtube.com/watch?v=xCI5...
