- Councillors raised concerns after discovering this was procured “without any democratic oversight” despite the contractor’s well-documented issues at the time Meanwhile, residents at a Roberson-built block were moved out just this month so remedial works could be carried out
- One councillor said: “I think residents, who elect us to oversee the strategic direction of the council, would be pretty shocked to learn that contracts of that size are agreed without any democratic oversight. It’s not a situation that I think should be allowed to continue.”
