- Are you fucking kidding me
- I've been a bit inactive Partially because of cold weather, partially because I've lost motivation after a telescope broke
- Jupiter is in opposition right now! If it’s clear where you’re at, check it with a telescope, binoculars, or even your naked eye! It should be easy to pick out and much brighter than the stars around it.
- Places I’ve been map trends are fun, but I’m not doxxing myself
- Why are we doing Iraq part two
- I built a new PC at the of the year using parts from Black Friday sales. It’s much better than my old one. Only problem is I lost a lot of my streaming assets and my entire setup. I can try to reconfigure everything and recover my files but it’s going to be a struggle..
- I’m glad scheduled posts aren’t a thing
- Merry Christmas everyone. May your holiday be as bright as the Orion nebula! #photography #astrophotography #astronomy #space It was very foggy while shooting this, but I take the clear nights when I can in the winter.
- I photographed the Horsehead nebula, one of my favorite deep sky objects. I spent two nights photographing this nebula, separated by a month in-between due to cloud cover and snow. #astrophotography #astronomy #photography #space
- It is very cold, but its worth it to finally get outside and under the stars
- Cold weather and snow have been keeping me out of the field. Hoping the skies eventually clear so I can finish my horsehead and Orion Nebula projects
- The California Nebula, named after the state its shape mimics. It took two nights to photograph this nebula using narrowband filters. #astrophotography #photography #astronomy
- My mount has now developed a quirk where it will shut down during meridian flips… I’m not sure if it’s due to a loose cable or or a power problem but a quick browse says this isn’t uncommon for the AM5 to develop.
- I photographed the Pleiades star cluster last night. I was able to get much more of the dust surrounding the stars this year. This cluster is easily visible to the naked eye even in light-polluted areas, and looks fantastic through a pair of binoculars. #astrophotography #astronomy #photography
- I visited the southern hemisphere for the first time last week. Unfortunately, the moon was full and clouds kept rolling in, so I didn't have near the time I'd normally spend, but I did get to photograph the Large Magellanic Cloud! #astrophotography #space #astronomy #photography
