Re: my work closing I went to my boss today like “so I have a confession. I would’ve told you this upon hire, but I’m not out to my parents yet ,, I’m nonbinary.” And he was super accepting abt it!! I kinda knew he would be, it’s just scary to come out to literally anyone rn.

He also commented about me not being out to my parents, “it’s different when it’s your parents vs someone who knows you, because your parents have specific hopes for you. And when you turn out different than those hopes, it’s harder for them to accept. They’ll come around, though.”
