- Kig-Yar in general aren't picky by human standards, but Zilq is very open to anything put in front of him. Ruk Zan has trepidations about eating anything sapient unlike most of his species (most wouldn't murder someone to eat them, but meat is meat) the thought causes severe PTSD-rooted anxiety.

- Ruk Zan's family is accepting, but keeps it very quiet. A T'vaoan taking a Ruuhtian as a partner is fairly scandalous due to some pretty unfair prejudice. Zilq's family is just ecstatic he found somebody.

- Reposted by ScavSaw a lot of headlines saying "wikipedia is embracing ai" being tossed around tabloids, and I'm pretty sure they were maliciously written to make you feel a certain way about Wikipedia. What's actually happening is that wikipedia is demanding payment for data scraping and the corpos don't like that.
- Ruk Zan has vivid nightmares interspersed with stretches of dreamless but restless sleep. He doesn't talk about them, but Zilq knows. Zilq dreams often of the sea, his family, his home, and distant worlds he longs to see. In all of them is an inescapable sense of longing and melancholic desire.

- Ruk Zan and Zilq speak Sangheili, and the T'vaoan and Ruuht dialects of their language, plus English. Zilq's English is rustier, leading him to drop articles when stressed or refer to himself in an awkward third person case when flustered. José speaks Spanish, English, Sangheili and Kig-Yar.

- Ruk Zan: a lot of the darker moments of the war... They eat at his soul, but in his mind he just is being 'unfocused.' Zilq: his mom's health & why he never left Eayn when most did post-fledging. José: why he knows so much about Kig-Yar. Iskra: not much... He likes broaching uncomfortable topics.

- Kig-Yar don't wear shoes! Interferes with the natural grip of your foot anatomy. If you're going to be in hazardous terrain, you can pop on a tech suit with form fitted foot covers. José: surplus Navy issue combat boots with custom insoles and civilian hiking boots. Ankle & arch support!

- Iskra was set to be low-key rich off of blood money during the war, but the collapse of the Covenant buggered his payroll. Ruk Zan comes from a prosperous clan, but an upper middle class background pales to a lot of the old money families on T'vao. He's poor now. Zilq grew up and is flat broke.
