- Reposted by Jeannie AlbertThere is no manner in which ICE agents now present themselves, no language they will direct at citizens or immigrants, no abuse or brutality they undertake, and no slaying they will commit that can at this point shock or surprise me. These thugs are not law enforcement. They are S.A. brownshirts.
- Reposted by Jeannie Alberti legitimately don’t know that i would have either the fortitude or the courage to testify about the time federal agents tried to murder me by shooting me five times, leaving me for dead, then picking me up *after* i called myself an ambulance
- Reposted by Jeannie AlbertAnyone with a heart and soul should agree that children and babies do not belong behind bars. Thousands of kids will carry a lifetime of trauma and PTSD, done in our name, funded by our tax dollars.
- Reposted by Jeannie AlbertThis cannot be something a civilian law enforcement agent is allowed to wear in the US — and an agency that has a culture that tolerates this cannot be saved.
- Reposted by Jeannie AlbertThis isn’t some anonymous tip. This is sworn testimony, under penalty of perjury, from someone who said Trump threatened to kill her if she exposed Epstein’s sexual abuse.
- Reposted by Jeannie AlbertThey told us there was no money for healthcare. No money for kids. No money for families drowning in medical bills. But there’s always money for ICE. More cages. More raids. More cruelty. That’s not a budget problem. That’s a values problem. Fund care, not punishment. #FundHealthcareOverICE

- Reposted by Jeannie Albertthis is a very cool thing to do and also highlights one of the biggest keys to Zohran's appeal: he just thinks New York City is really neat people who live somewhere want to vote for someone who likes it there and wants to make it better, not someone who wants to use it as a springboard

- Reposted by Jeannie AlbertPredicting that this week we’ll hear more conciliatory words from the Administration regarding Minnesota (since they’re starting to realize that ICE has become politically toxic) but everyone outside of Minnesota needs to know that nothing on the ground has changed.
- “The promise of the American democratic experiment now resides in the Free States of the Union. They cannot accede to the illegitimate actions of a renegade executive.” Excellent piece by @joshtpm.bsky.social. We must focus & mobilize so States maintain control over fair election administration.

- Reposted by Jeannie AlbertGood to see that many Dem elected officials now want to be seen getting involved in the cases of immigrants who have been wrongly detained by ICE. Let's spare a word for @vanhollen.senate.gov, who did this for Kilmar Abrego Garcia back when wise pundits said this was politically dangerous.

- Reposted by Jeannie AlbertHere's an opportunity to support the other journalist arrested today; Georgia Fort, who will have far fewer resources available to her than Don Lemon.
- Georgia Fort's is chilling, and it's being overshadowed by the equally chilling arrest of Don Lemon. A GoFundMe is being set up for Fort. In the meantime, you can support her work directly – without paying massive fundraising platform fees – through her website: www.georgiafort.com/support

We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.
