A wealth tax is needed on anyone with over a certain number of millions in wealth. And for high rollers, a minimum tax %, no avoiding by subsidies and credits and other gimmicks they write into law for themselves with the help of the GOP and the uneducated cult base.
If they raised the SS cutoff to $1 million there would be zero problems with Social Security. For some reason they refuse to raise it from $165k. That’s ridiculous. It’s much too low. Congress is well aware there’s a relatively simple solution. Why won’t they do anything about it?
