- We have reached a point where even vulgar Marxism is too nuanced to describe the state of our ruling class

- His current obsequiousness, his hardcore austerity stance during the Euro crisis and general awfulness in Dutch politics. Mark Rutte is low-key contender for worst European politician of this century www.politico.eu/article/euro...
- Reposted by Rune Møller StahlThe murders of Alex Pretti and Renee Good send a terrifying signal to protesters: if you are against us, we can kill you with impunity. This is a classical authoritarian strategy. Increase the costs of opposing the regime to stop people from protesting. 1/2
- We all know the playbook by now. The immediate crisis is over, and European leaders will slip back into their subservient posture—hoping this will all blow over so we can return to the ’90s. Here’s Denmark’s (!) foreign minister last night, still calling the US our “closest and most important ally”
- We ran a progressive slate for the Akademikerpension board elections 10 years ago (and won), because we wanted fossil fuel divestment. I don’t think we ever imagined we might one day help trigger a margin call on U.S. Treasuries.
- Once again it shows that, whereever it's possible, one of the most effective form of activism is getting involved in how your pension funds are invested

- I'm really proud to have been one of the lead authors of Oxfam’s global inequality report this year. And honestly a bit overwhelmed by the impact it’s having this morning. When you’re used to your writing being read by a couple hundred fellow nerds, this is something else.

- Massive crowds on the street in Copenhagen in solidarity with Greenland and against US aggression. Thousands of Greenlandic flags 🇬🇱💪

- Verdens mindste overraskelse.

- It's important to understand that Greenland is not just part of Denmark, but has it's own domestic politics. The current crisis have meant that the Greenlandic government, Naalakkersuisut, have gained greater autonomy and room for maneuver. This mapping of the GL elite is a good place to start

- Reposted by Rune Møller StahlThese freaks want territorial expansion and they know Trump will do everything he can to deliver. This isn’t just a tweet from some random asshole either. This is Stephen Miller’s wife. Miller was in the room with Trump during the kidnapping of Maduro.
- Reposted by Rune Møller StahlBlows my mind that some of the same journalists who see Trump as a want-to-be dictator at home are earnestly discussing the "challenges" for this same man to "bring democracy" to a country it just illegal invaded. Please grow up.

- It's seems clear that no country is allowed to have large scale oil reserves unless a pliant member of the US empire
- Reposted by Rune Møller StahlThe abduction of a head of state and the unprovoked attack on Venezuela are extremely dangerous. This is the most naked form of imperialism, which - if unopposed and unresisted - puts every country and government at the mercy of the US, and any other powerful country that tries to copy it. 1/
- Reposted by Rune Møller StahlWhatever you might think of Maduro, the seizure and kidnapping of a head of state takes us to a very dark place. Vast, arbitrary, extra-legal power, which could be exercised almost anywhere, regardless of the character of the target government.

- This is the end of any notion of international law. The US government (and it's proxies) have claimed the right to invade any country and kill or capture any individual without pretext
