- Knowing that no one who has ever raped or abused me (or any of the people I know) will ever face legal consequences for it, and having to watch the high-profile reification of the carceral system as a credible means of “justice” every couple years, is legitimately mentally obliterating.
- I believe one of the most effective things non-caregiver adults can do to prevent teens from getting exploited by extremists & other bad actors online, is to go out of our way to make neighbourhoods safer & more welcome places for kids to exist freely. Even when it is irritating/exasperating for us.
