- The BIDS Steering Group is responsible for approving and advancing BIDS extensions through the BIDS standard process, as well as more general decisions regarding the standard. The BIDS Steering Group aims to preserve the longevity and sustainability of the BIDS standard.
- According to the Governance (bids.neuroimaging.io/governance.h...) adopted by the community in 2019, the Steering Group is intended to reflect the diversity of experiences and perspectives within the BIDS community.

- We are pleased to announce the release of version 1.9.0 of the Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS)! The main addition of this release is the inclusion of BIDS extension proposal (BEP) 029 to support motion data. bids-specification.readthedocs.io/en/latest/mo...
- BIDS-Motion makes motion data interoperable across different laboratories and with other data modalities in human brain and behavioral research. It supports various types of motion capture systems including motion tracking in virtual space.
