- Rex Manning Day falls on a Wednesday this year.
- My niece's surgery seems to have gone as planned. My sister has not told her she won't be able to play softball this year, and, dear reader, that's going to be a fuckin' problem.
- I want to go home from work, but the car is being finicky. No big deal on rural route, big deal if on highway w/ traffic. The only way to prevent it is by not driving for awhile. So I wait.
- I can only imagine there's some dumbfuck out there screaming "Stick to sports" to ... *checks notes* professional wrestling fans? Also FUCK ICE and put the title on Brody King. The people want it, it will make wrestling Twitter implode, and then AEW can focus all their content to Bluesky.

- Got the niece home and squared away. Days like these are why I'm hesitant to leave, go back to the life of my own choosing. My mom doesn't need anyone to take care of her. But someone to look after her and help when it's necessary? Yeah, she does. I feel stuck.
- I have quickly begun to love tintype. I really miss Philip Seymour Hoffman.
- Saw my niece before she gets sent off to children's hospital in Omaha. That gal is tougher than me. Drove my brother-in-law's Dodge Ram 250 heavy duty, biggest goddamn thing I've ever driven short of farm equipment. Don't get the appeal, but he's using it for farming and ranching. Most aren't.
- This is probably the biggest reason I haven't smoked weed since moving back to Nebraska. Had a guy nicknamed Señor Sketch once. One time he came to my Apt to sell me some weed, and my roommate was there. He flipped his lid. And yet he knew him well and had already sold to him before. At my Apt.

- Niece lunch today because her little sister broke her leg playing ultimate dodgeball. The youngest is going to have to visit children's for surgery, my sister is not taking that well. But that niece is tougher than nails. In the meantime, grandma and uncle C will spoil the other niece.

- McDormand fest continues with Blood Simple and Fargo tonite. Blood Simple is one of the few Coen Brothers films I've not watched, so pretty excited for that.

- Going to have to find more things to fill my time now that football won't be a thing for awhile. Baseball can't arrive soon enough, but I will give all these subscriptions some proper attention before that.
- I keep telling myself, "This year's the year that Rob Manfred won't get my money," but that generally changes right before the season discount for MLB.tv ends.
- Sold out too fast. 🙃 Turn out anti-government, anti-police merch is dragging this economy up by its bootstraps.
- Phil may have seen his shadow today, but this drab-ass day did not allow me to see mine. Everything's going to be fuckin' grand for the next six weeks and no one can tell me different.
- Lazy Sunday, just finished watching Landman season 2. I have very few original rules in life, but one of mine is never stop on the episode before the finale. If you're finishing a series, it's a two-episode minimum. The only exception is if you're watching the series live and have to wait.

- Almost time for some basketball. Hoping the Big Red can bounce back from that short-handed loss.

- Match of the nite will be on #AEWCollision lol They'll do something better than Styles-Gunther, which was a legit good match. Rumble was pretty good, really fun to start. The end action was fine, but there came a point where I thought, "None of these guys winning is all that compelling."
- I have the opportunity to traverse our tumultuous nation's slushy and sideways backroads tomorrow, 20 degrees with snowfall incoming. But then there's the Rumble, so something to look forward to (probably the only WWE event I'll watch, but it's my favorite).
