- A couple more from the sketchbook… I’m working on a new linocut, but it’s early days, so nothing to show just yet. It’s also Friday evening, so putting the pencil down & picking a G&T up! #linocut #sketchbook #sketch #ginandtonic
- In the brief snippet of sun we had yesterday, I did some gardening and came across these gorgeous velvety wisteria seed pods. They take 10-15 years to produce flowers from seeds however! #seeds #wisteria #wisteriahysteria #velvet
- Well, that’s the mould finished. Not the most elegant object! Now to wait for it to cure for a day or two before testing it out. #moldmaking #moldmakingandcasting #nutsandbolts #dizzy
- There’s a lion underneath there somewhere. More mould-making today! #lion #silicone #mouldmaking #moldmaking
- Happy to be sending one of these off today ‘Breathing Space’ - 11cm tall, pewter, ed. of 12. #pewter #breathingspace #smallsculpture
- And now, from 1327, the oldest thatched pub in Lincolnshire… #thatchedroof #lincolnshire #englishpub

- Here’s another of print & sketch. St. Edmund’s Wolf, protecting the severed head of the King after a Viking attack, until it is miraculously joined with his body again. Quite the story. #stedmund #burystedmunds #wolf
- Dusting down the sketchbook to start a new drawing for a print. Here are two previous sketches and the linoprints they became. #sketch #linoprint
- ‘And what happened to the wild boar you sculpted in black wax and then made a Jesmonite cast from?’ I hear you ask. Well, having served its purpose, the wax original has been unceremoniously squished into a ball, ready to turn into something else. #wax #metamorphosis
- Not quite what I intended, but I know what to do better next time! #failagainfailbetter #silverclay
- Today’s challenge - turning this into this. #lioness #sculpture
- I’ve also added ‘The Truffle Hunter’ to my website. Link in bio. #wildboar #truffle #hunter #jesmonite
- ‘21st Century Mystic’ now on my website (link in bio). We could do with a few more mystics in these times. #mystic #resin #sculpture
- Finally got round to adding these two to my website: ‘Sun Lion’ and ‘Here’s Looking at You Kid!’. Link in bio. #lion #sunlion #hereslookingatyoukid #animalsculpture
- ‘Bright Star’ illuminated by our own daily star this morning 💫 Pewter star on a base moulded from a Norfolk flint. #brightstar #flint #sun #dailystar #pewter
- Blue Monday - so here’s my bluest print - ‘Starry Night Over Albert Bridge’. Also Dolly Parton’s 80th birthday, so I’m listening to her to chase away the blues! #dollyparton #albertbridge #battersea #chelsea
- ‘Full Focus’ (on the week ahead) - Jesmonite, 19cm tall www.katewillows.co.uk/photo_173040... #jesmonite #focus #sculpture
- Something remarkably silly for the New Year ‘Wake Me Up When It’s All Over’. #linocut
- An icy start and warm sun combine on my favourite tree on Hampstead Heath. Magic! 💫 #everydaymagic
- I have quite a few little sculptures around the place that I’ve done precisely nothing with. Here’s one - maybe this year is her year! 10cm tall. #maybetomorrow #maybesomeday
- When silver clay is first fired, it still looks like a piece of clay. The magic happens when you use a bit of wire wool to polish it up and the silver shines through 💫 #silver #silverclay #jewellerymaking #wildhorses #magic
- Also made a little pendant with the last bit of silver clay from Kernowcraft. #silver #pendant #jewellerymaking
- Finished print - ‘Return to Scolt Head’. There’s a Scolt Head pub in north London, which is also worth returning to, but possibly not in a canoe. #linoprint #scolthead #islandlife
- Layers 2 & 3 from the same block as the first. #printmaking #layers
- Returning to my ‘Return to Scolt Head’ linoprint. My favourite place to canoe to on the Norfolk coast. This is the first layer, involving a bit of fiddling around with the ink after the lino has been inked - a bit like monoprinting. Takes me ages! #scolthead #norfolk #monoprint
- Henry Moore’s Arch in Kensington Gardens the other day. Inspired by a fragment of bone and the idea that the bone is the structure and strength inside a living form. The sculpture is positioned so you have a view of Kensington Palace through the arch. #henrymoore #kensingtongardens
- Late afternoon on Hampstead Heath. Saw a kestrel and a thrush, so all good. #hampsteadheath #kestrel #thrush
- If you’re daunted by the prospect of taking down your Christmas decorations, spare a thought for the Churchill Arms, W8 🌟 #christmasdecorations
- Pink sky at night 💫 #pinksky
- The shape of things to come in 2026?! Balenciaga bag/shoe. Happy New Year all - here’s to whatever it has in store for us! 🥳💫🌟 #balenciaga #strange
- This morning I made a silver stater and a silver ring - pleased that the current trend is for uneven jewellery! Thanks to Kernowcraft for the raw materials. #silverclay #jewellerymaking
- A Blakean sunrise 💫 #williamblake
- London Christmas tree with a nod to New Year’s Eve… #smirnoff
- This is THE perfect film to watch between Christmas and New Year. I watched it at the cinema when it first came out and then again yesterday. It bears repeated viewing. Set in New England in 1970/71 - so funny and poignant. Paul Giamatti brilliant as always. #theholdovers #paulgiamatti
- This year’s model. Thanks to @illustratorsfair.bsky.social for the photo & for featuring my design on their page. Merry Christmas to all of you. Thanks for the Bluesky interaction over the year. All the very best of wishes for 2026!! 💫🌟 #skiing #mouse
- If you get the chance to see ‘Oliver!’ At the Gielgud Theatre, go go go! Brilliant cast, but especially Simon Lipkin as Fagin (pics from his insta) - the best Fagin I’ve ever seen on stage or screen. Pure magic! 💫🌟 #fagin #oliver #simonlipkin #londontheatre
