That is a fundamental difference between Vance and I. I do not believe that the American people should be assassinated in the street.

- She wasn’t my preferred candidate but she is now my President. She is the first citizen of the country and as such I respect her position and wish her the very best of luck in her role. President elect Connolly has spoken about representing all and I hope that she is successful at that.

- When we decided 15 years ago to begin the honouring of local heroes we genuinely didn’t think it would continue this long. But every year this area throws up more people deserving of honour. @katedurrant.bsky.social

- This is utterly tragic. I don’t accept that we have to wait in Cork for proof that this will work. MQI have saved 6 lives in the Dublin facility. The best time to open this facility was yesterday, the next best time is now. Deepest condolences to the family and friends of this young man.
