- If you see someone being detained by ICE — this is what you should know:
- Florida’s decision to administer driver’s license services only in English does not increase safety or efficiency — it instead deepens inequity. 30% of Florida households speak a language other than English at home.
- Tell Congress: ICE doesn't need another dime.
- Black history is Florida history. The fight for freedom didn’t end in the past — it’s happening right now. We honor Black history by unapologetically telling the truth, defending our rights, and building the future our communities deserve.
- We were in federal court this week fighting unconstitutional processes at Alligator Alcatraz. Sworn testimony exposed “Alligator Alcatraz” for what it is: a facility built on cruelty, designed to isolate people from legal counsel.
- A free state does not ban books or censor materials based on viewpoint. floridapolitics.com/archives/776...
- We refuse to accept this as normal.
- BREAKING: A federal judge denied the City of Naples’ bid to dismiss our lawsuit challenging its censorship of drag performances in a public park. This ruling means the City must answer for its unlawful actions — a step forward in the right direction. Read more here:
- Decisions made in Tallahassee will shape our homes, our communities, and our futures. Join us live this evening at 6:30 PM for our virtual Legislative Session Town Hall to kick off the first week of session, break down what’s happening in Tallahassee, and what it means for our civil liberties.
- ICE agents serve the people — not the other way around.
- We join our colleagues as they demand the removal of ICE from their streets. As the situation in Minneapolis continues to unfold, one principle must remain clear: government agencies have a responsibility to protect the people— not endanger them.
- Our state should not be in the business of labeling nonprofits as “terrorist organizations” simply because it disagrees with their First Amendment-protected views or constitutionally-protected conduct.
- ICE is denying immigrants under detainment their Sixth Amendment right to an attorney— removing their often only opportunity to reach their family & community. Without a lawyer, people are twice as likely to be deported, according to a study earlier this year from the American Immigration Council.
- "By making elected representatives less accountable to the people they serve, gerrymandering undermines public trust in elections, compromises the votes of marginalized citizens and weakens the foundation of our democracy." Read more here:
- Floridians are being shut out of a process that will shape our democracy for years to come. It’s unacceptable— lawmakers have now held two committee hearings on redistricting maps and still refused to take any public comment. Read more here:

- BREAKING: We’re suing the City of Tallahassee for imposing an unconstitutional tax that hits low-income, Black, and Hispanic households the hardest. As living costs rise, the city chose a charge that widens inequality and violates Florida’s Constitution. See you in court.
- Miami’s future is on the ballot. From housing and climate resilience to public safety and government transparency, we have an opportunity to shape our city. Learn more about Miami’s mayoral runoff candidates here:
- “We all have the right to free speech, and you don’t lose that when you work for the government."
- BREAKING: We filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of a state employee who was unfairly fired for private posts on social media regarding the death of Charlie Kirk. She’s fighting for her rights — because public employees have free speech too. We'll see you in court.
- Earlier today, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of same-sex marriage by declining to hear a challenge to Obergefell v. Hodges. The landmark decision securing marriage equality will stay intact, meaning our freedom to marry remains the law of the land.

- 10,000 signatures = 10,000 Miamians demanding change. 9 commissioners instead of 5 for fairer representation. Even-year city elections to increase turnout. Transparent, fair redistricting. This is what a citizen-led amendment looks like.
