- Sure, let's say everyone is being thrown under the bus. But, isn't it just so incredibly hurtful & an insult to all Americans that this president allowed - and continues to allow - for these killings to happen just so that he can pretend now to work on fixing the chaos he created? Just a thought.
- Reposted by Karina MontoyaHere's the thing, Greg — free speech is still protected by the First Amendment under the Constitution. If you want folks to stop saying you're the secret police who are kidnapping and killing people, maybe stop acting like the secret police who are kidnapping and killing people.
- Wasn't Tom Homan who said MN is not doing his job working with ICE? What is he going to say now that the MN Dept of Corrections is showing how ICE is flat out lying about their outcomes & even the stats of how many people ICE has asked the DOC to keep in custody? ⬇️ www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2O0...
- #Minnesota Is the fed govt really going to investigate Pretti's murder? Karoline Levitt keeps saying let "facts lead," but Trump has only said Tom Homan will have boots on the ground to report to him (is this the "investigation," really?). What am I missing?? newrepublic.com/post/205662/...
- 🆕Our newsletter is now on Substack! You may not be thinking of Google as an important player in the streaming wars, but hey, it is! Here I zoom into YouTube TV's growth, its clashes with TV programmers, and what it all means as Big Tech continues to pull its weight unregulated in streaming.
- I really do hope all these videos are being archived by someone, for both legal defense and history purposes.
- Great analysis by @haydenfield.bsky.social. I'll add: I still remember OpenAI, Anthropic pretty much testifying their convos w/Apple would have not happened if not for the GoogleSearch antitrust case. Now we have more of the same. So much for Judge Mehta's 'caution.' www.theverge.com/ai-artificia...
- This is just like a Black Mirror episode.
- I can't even... I'm just at a loss for words.
- Keep an eye on the many written testimonies that will be published in the subcommittee's website. Many expose not only antitrust concerns, but threats to creative expression and press freedom coming from both Netflix & Skydance-Paramount's bids. - The retaliation from this govt has no boundaries. What is this message? That millions of veterans should remain quiet to perfectly denounceable statements and actions from this administration? If they do this to a retired Navy Captain and U.S. Senator, what should we expect for the rest?
- The Pentagon will cut the military retirement pay of Sen. Mark Kelly for what Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the Arizona Democrat’s “seditious” statements on a video telling service members they have the right to refuse to execute illegal orders. Read more: cnb.cx/495FHLo

- This is possibly the best educated guess of what's going to happen in Venezuela. By taking advantage of people's hope for regime change, it's easier to create chaos disguised in relief. Even more appalling is how this govt uses the US Justice system to achieve an agenda no American voted for...

- For anyone who wants to know what the FCC was up to before today's Senate hearing (and if you just learned about the FCC because of Jimmy Kimmel), here's the full picture of Brendan Carr's "Delete, Delete, Delete" initiative, by @austinahlman.bsky.social🔎 www.journalismliberty.org/publications...
- What in the actual f* is he talking about? What rents have gone down? You're trying to tell us that "foreign criminals" - I guess with millions of dollars at their disposal - were jacking up prices of houses and creating a housing crisis? What is this madness.
- Omg thank you for posting this. In went on the FCC website too around 1 pm ET and noticed it had been edited already!! I thought, "no way they were that fast." But they were. Delete, delete, delete, indeed.
- From all the baffling things said by FCC Chair Carr today, the way he refused to acknowledge the FCC cannot revoke broadcast licenses simply bc the president (any president) does not like a licensee's programming, was the most devasting. Here's the exact moment: www.youtube.com/live/cHY0dP5...

- Funny to see the Ellisons' reasoning here... They want to buy ALL OF WB, but we should only worry about Netflix? Bc what, bc it's a tech giant? They will both concentrate even more power, in similar terrible ways. If regulators were serious about reining them in, neither of these bids would clear.
- This "reshaping" is the creation of a new global gatekeeper of stories, voices, and creators' IP. Netflix will control 100+ years of filmmaking catalogue, w/no interest in theaters. - No one gets a break from Google's AI Overviews, not even cooking recipes! Sure, and all of us here are expected to believe that Google is driving 'better quality traffic' to creators and newsrooms with its AI integration 😅
- NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving. Gift link: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

- No matter how many spins the WH Press Secretary gives to journalists about the SNAP crisis during press conferences, the fact remains that when the U.S. wants to mobilize resources, it does so, no matter where. It is indeed a choice, not a problem of lack of resources. So, what's gonna give?

- This ended fast. Looks like a big win on the monetary and behavioral front, indeed. BUT, AMZ admits no wrongdoing. Also, AMZ makes +$10B quarterly from all Subscriptions & it's the growth of Prime Video what more recently allows AMZ to continue monopolizing retail media ads (market worth +$60B).
