- It's the smallest thing in the world when you look at everything but I am. I'm pretty tired of trans men being used as some kind of gotcha by well-meaning folks pushing against bathroom bans. "This big hairy gross guy is gonna be in the bathroom with your daughter" isn't actually helpful.
- "do you want some muscular bearded TRANS GUY in the women's room?? Who would want that?? Gross" is how it sounds, at least to me, a pretty fruity trans guy. Our fight is not the hypervisible and terrifying fight of trans women right now but I don't appreciate being used as some kind of cudgel :(
- and I want to say my heart is POUNDING having posted this bc there are so many worse things and bigger fights and I'm afraid to take light from those things. i just want to add my small, deepening voice to say please don't talk about us like we are predators. It hurts.
