- 🚩 Social Media Editor needed for Tourism Geographies. 🔗 See full details here: think.taylorandfrancis.com/editor_recru...? 🔺 Application deadline, 6 January 2026.
- 🎙️ On this week's episode of the Tourism Geographies Podcast, we feature esteemed researcher Bob McKercher, who discusses his recently published article, "Politics of tourism in public land use management: a reflexive treatise".
- 💥 Key takeaways: 🔸 The politics of ‘sustainability’ are highly polarised, with stakeholder groups establishing clearly defined inter-organisational relationships or advocacy groups presenting either a weak or strong sustainability agenda.
- Tourism does not fit well into either group, and as such, has difficulty building trust and establishing firm alliances with either group in the corridors of power.
