- Reposted by Georgie Holmes-SkeltonThis year has been brutal for the #climate movement. Rollbacks, repression, & outright denial, especially in the US, have made progress feel fragile & uneven. Which is exactly why it matters to pause & look back at what did move forward in 2025. Here are 12 real wins 🏆, one for each month 🧵⬇️
- They’re gonna do to Chat GPT what they did to google search and bury the content that seem useful to people (regardless of its actual accuracy) under ad content. The familiar cycle of “oh cool we built something that might have broad public benefit. Now let’s undermine it so we can monetise it”.
- The fact that most sales seem to start sometime mid December now must play apart in this.

- lol. I usually try and avoid commenting on all the nonsense but this is genuinely funny.
- I assume WI and Girlguides are making these decisions because they fear legal action. It just makes me so deeply sad to see these outcomes for trans women who are only seeking belonging and community.

- Someone in the OBR web team is having one hell of a bad day
- One of the most impactful conservation charities you've never heard of. Their handprints are all over huge UK nature successes such as otter recovery, pine marten reintroduction to England and Wales, and recovery of rare bat species. I'm so proud to be a trustee for this brilliant organisation.

- Really pleased to see NT stepping in to help ensure these places continue to thrive in future. Ironbridge Gorge was the destination for my school's iconic big Year 6 residential school trip and I have very fond memories of places like Blists Hill.

- Fab opportunity to lead VWT's Board of Trustees and help to continue its wonderful work. It's a brilliant organisation that quietly works in background to do huge things - like bringing pine martens back to England and Wales. Please share and let me know if you'd like a chat (I'm a current Trustee).

- Oh yes we should definitely build baby build all over our most precious National Parks and landscapes. That's definitely going to help us all have a brighter more prosperous future. Also if you insist on paying attention to detail, this isnt a duty that has a binding effect on planning decisions.

- Reposted by Georgie Holmes-SkeltonI love London so much. So much. Did you know that London has the lowest level of ethnic violence of any city of comparable size in the world? Multiculturalism has in fact worked here. They just don’t want it to be true because we happen to have a Muslim mayor.
- Are these numbers based on literally anything but pure vibes?
- The problem is that no one in their social or media sphere is directly telling them "no, those views are in fact racist".

- I’d like to think that maybe we could collectively learn something for how politicising the civil service is going from the States tbh.
