- Me: Want to get dressed to go to the park? 8: I can't. Me: Why not? 8: Mom, I'm really stressed right now. I thought of a craft to make for Dad for Christmas and I have to finish it in time! I've raised myself.

- Just finished draft one of part one of #breadwip. Was hoping this part would be about 25k, and finished at almost exactly 20k, so right on target!
- My mom just told me she no longer tells people I’m a Latin teacher. She tells them that I’m a Latin teacher and a writer. And I just… 😭

- This year I asked each of my middle schoolers to recommend a book and I’m going to read all of them. This is my thread where I’ll list them as I read them. Am definitely going outside my reading comfort zone on some of these. 🧵

- Had a flash of brilliance last night and wrote the greatest haiku ever. Though it’s probably only funny if you spend all day teaching gen alpha.
- Reposted by Emma LizGuess which mags are holding simultaneous submissions with corresponding themes? @epistemiclit.bsky.social and @nimblewitlit.bsky.social are ready to see what you have to offer on the theme "Integrity/trustworthy."
- Reposted by Emma LizWant the details on our next sub call and theme straight to your inbox? Sign up for EpistemicLit’s newsletter for updates on both magazines! THEME ANNOUNCEMENT just went out!
- So excited to be a part of this!
- We have some NEWS! Please join us in welcoming @1storyteller.bsky.social to the Nimblewitlit team as Outreach Editor. Emma will be helping us connect with libraries and schools and encourage youth submissions. One group text “meeting” in and she’s already bringing great insights!
- Every year I joke with my students that they need to pick up the trash on the floor because I’m too old to get it. They laugh and pick up their trash. On Friday, when I made the joke, they didn’t laugh. Just politely cleaned my room. So guess I’m old now. 👵 😭
- If you’ve been following along with my book connection challenge, I’m writing more about it on my blog: ehperryauthor.wordpress.com/blog/
- Posts every Saturday.
- Posting this again. Hoping one day I won’t have to.
