Jayme Antrim
Hello! I'm Jayme a horror author, TTRPG designer, and hammy podcast performer. (he/him) | LUCID CITY, R'LYEHWATCH RPG

- Worldbuilding: Detectives *cannot stand* Psychic Detectives. "How'd you figure out the killer?" "Years of training and experience, scrutinizing and obsessing over every detail... You?" "I just saw who killed them. Like, a picture in my mind of the crime? Bam. Easy." "..."

- Untapped RPG genres: Biodieselpunk. Biological horror + Dieselpunk = nevermind, that sounds gross.
- Woohoo! 100-Foot Crow published my horror story!

- My new RPG will be split into three core rulebooks: one for Players, one for Game Masters, and one for Game Masters who wish they were Players.
- My new year's resolution is to... (checks index cards, flipping through them rapidly, growing more concerned) It just says DRAW ISOMETRIC DUNGEON MAPS? that can't be right

- I gave a presentation on writing RPG adventures, and it went well! But then last night I had a nightmare where I gave a presentation, and it *didn't* go well? So apparently I suffer from delayed anxiety.
- I finally saw Superman. No spoilers, but it was very good and just about everything I hoped it would be. The casting was excellent and the film had heart. Highly recommend it as a theater experience.
- Here's a card from Wallaby Task Force, a silly little RPG I made fun. Players pick a card from three decks and that makes up their character. It's like D&D, but everyone's an Australian animal mercenary. Also it's nothing like D&D. And there's wombats. Gotta have wombats.

- I don't know what they put in my coffee this morning but I just designed an entire TTRPG

- I was thinking it'd be neat to design a #ttrpg adventure that would encourage people who played it to run it themselves. And after that, they come back and continue with some sort of bonus. But! If the folks who *they* ran it for ran it themselves wait, no, cancel that, I've invented a MLM scheme

- "Hi! I'm looking for a non-supernatural mystery TTRPG. Any suggestions?" "Have you tried Castle Cthulhu Dracula: Alien Abduction Cryptid Time Crypt? That's what we use. It's really not that much work to remove the Cthulhu Dracula Alien Abduction Cryptid Time Crypts from the game."
- As I'm cleaning my room I keep finding crazy notes written in my handwriting. "Robbie Jones O.D.'d on the way to the junkyard, sister went missing a month ago," etc. It takes me a minute to realize they're notes from forgotten RPG sessions.

- Inspiration comes from all places. For instance, my next TTRPG is directly inspired by Muriel's Wedding.

- Ran my second game of #ElectricBastionland, using the "The Sanctuary of Lost Birds" scenario. There were only two players but they managed to make it out alive thanks to the power of lackeys and dark jazz.

- Idea: Take all the ideas I have for TTRPGs and run them through a tournament ~~until only one survives~~ and make the winner first.
- Oh you want to watch Dead Alive? Hmm... sorry. Hey, how about Walking Dead: Dead City: City of the Dead: Dead City Walking Season 2, streaming now on AMC+?
- Protip: JustWatch is my go-to website to find out the movie you want to watch is no longer available anywhere for streaming.
- Hey totally unrelated but why does sandwiched mean "squeezed between two things" why can't it mean "bestowed with a sandwich"?
- Microblogging sites like Bluesky are a fun way for your friends to realize that *you believe* the amusing observation you shared with them earlier that afternoon is good enough to share with the entire world.
- I was today years old when I realized that Electric Bastionland calling the GM a "Conductor" is a reference to electricity and not just trains.

- Bloody New Year (1987) is just the kind of chaos horror nonsense I need in my life. It's like British Hausu! Okay, so there are times I wish the scares were given room to breathe, but still. If you wished The Shining has the pacing of a frenzied haunted attraction, check out Bloody New Year.
- Happy New Year! Please enjoy "New Year's Evil," a free holiday one-shot adventure for the R'lyehwatch RPG. brandoff.itch.io/new-years-ev... #Rlyehwatch #TTRPG
