We've been sorting through duplicates and surplus inventory and will be holding a sale. Also joining us with sale tables are Museum of Computing and Retro Sect so there will be plenty to choose from book now!
- Reposted by Rob CrowtherSaw this on FB and it made me cry a little. The post was for a good cause, nothing wrong with that, but for pity's sake why use a terrible AI image of the poor PET? There are a million pictures of actual PETs online, just use one of those for pity's sake.
- Reposted by Rob CrowtherThis is Jerry Lawson. He invented the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system. Because of his invention, many consoles had cartridges and CD formats and would become the norm. The Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, and many consoles wouldn't exist without him. Happy Black History Month.
- Reposted by Rob CrowtherCould you do me a favour & share this video pls? Trying to see something... I know lots of people are experiencing lower YT views, but I want to see if boosting external links/shares makes a difference. Plus, if you like old vs new T2 games. Pls have a watch :) youtu.be/VdrwjWOJyFM?...

- Reposted by Rob Crowther40 years ago I was playing Uridium. It had (for the time) excellent graphics and felt technically slick and polished, giving it an authentic arcade feel that was very important to us way back when. However, these days its ridiculous difficulty level makes it hard to truly enjoy.
- Reposted by Rob CrowtherIMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT As of January 1st 2026, John and I are **no longer** the owners of Complexly (the educational media company we started 15 years ago that makes Crash Course, Eons, SciShow, Study Hall, and a bunch of other shows.) We have been the sole owners for all that time...

- Reposted by Rob CrowtherTo celebrate id Software’s 35th birthday, @johnromero.bsky.social produced a great mini-doc on the making of Catacomb 3D (1991) – and it really illustrates just how foundational this game was for their later, more influential first person shooter work: youtu.be/ZcUqwMf01pI?...
- It's #RandomGameSaturday and Superbowl LX is next weekend so I give you Superbowl XX from Ocean. XX was historically one-sided but the winning Bears were in London that summer for the first American Bowl. That was my introduction to the sport, so I'm fond of this game even though it's not very good.

- Happy #RandomGameSaturday The NFL playoffs are nearly over but here is one more from my collection of American Football games: 4th & Inches for the Amiga. With 11 animated players per side! Accolade included a catalogue in the style of a school yearbook which I think is a fun way of doing it.

- Post the first game you actually completed! Mine was Commando on the Commodore 64. There is a final victory screen, however you then just loop around to the first level again. You can carry on until either you get bored or, as in my case, you get shouted at because it's time for dinner.

- Continuing my NFL theme for #RandomGameSaturday here is Head Coach from Addictive, the same people that did Football Manager. You manage a team through a season, trading for new players and dealing with injuries. The strategic options are somewhat limited as you only get two downs to get ten yards.

- Revisiting this now that I have a #C64U Fewer characters available than on a C128 or the teletype so I had to fudge the numbers a bit, but I took the opportunity to add colour! Also I can turn on turbo mode and have the whole thing generated in seconds by an emulated 64MHz 6502 😀
- My Switch Year in Review. The most surprising thing was how little I played my Switch this year. My second most played game wasn't even me. The second most surprising thing is that the link to share doesn't actually share my year, just lets you access your own. So I took a screenshot instead.

- It's #RandomGameSaturday and also the first weekend of the NFL playoffs so I'm going with an American Football theme: American Football from Mind Games. In 84 the sport had only recently begun getting popular in the UK so most of the manual is given over to describing the rules and background.

- My first #RandomGameSaturday of 2026 is Matrix from Llamasoft. This is the VIC-20 version, back in the day I played this on the C64. The tenuous link to new year is I remember playing Gridrunner (which this is a sequel of) on the VIC-20 when on holiday at my Grandfather's house in Grange-over-Sands.
- This is interesting stuff. I found my Starglider 2 Amiga box just before Xmas, going to have to set some time aside to read the novella.

- My last #RandomGameSaturday of the year is the Amiga version of Winter Games from Epyx. I tried to pick something vaguely Xmassy 😀 My box is a bit battered and bruised but the memories are still good. I liked the bobsled and biathlon events.
- Merry Xmas Everyone! I hope that you all get everything you wished for and have the best possible time.

- Reposted by Rob CrowtherI’m reminded of watching two old ladies ask a teenage goth for directions and she politely told them and when she was out of earshot one lady said “You know where you are with a goth”
- It was very good, and surprisingly funny considering some of the subjects it touched upon.
- To celebrate getting my C64 Ultimate this week my #RandomGameSaturday is Uridium. This is not the copy I owned back in the 80s, I bought it on eBay so I could once again experience loading games from cassette tape! The game is so smooth and fast for a mid-80s home computer, I loved it.
- My C64 Ultimate has arrived! (Note: cat not included) @commodoreofficial.bsky.social A proper ring bound manual with BASIC programs, just like the old days! Looking forward to the evening when I'll have time to play with it properly. #Commodore64 #C64 #C64U #Commodore

- My #RandomGameSaturday is Valkyria Chronicles. I first bought it on Steam in 2015 but had enough trouble getting it to work well on Linux that I acquired this PS4 version a few years later. Also have it on Switch, because why not? I love the graphical style and presentation.
- My Zzap! The Legacy from Fusion Retro books has arrived! Love a bit of Dan Dare, and those are some familiar looking choirboys 😀
- Reposted by Rob CrowtherOver 19,000 games have released on Steam in 2025. Almost half of them have fewer than ten reviews.
