- Labor positioning the environment as just another stakeholder misses the point. The weighty task of legislating environment laws is not to find the "middle ground" between protecting nature vs unlocking wealth creation. It's to do what's right. Nature is our wealth. And in the end, we are nature.

- I'm thinking of everyone who has a child in childcare today with such sickening, horrifying news this week. So much sorrow for the little ones and families involved. There are no sufficient words. 💔 Our children deserve a childcare system that puts their safety above all else.
- Thinking of the brave souls aboard the Madleen this morning, with reports they’ve been boarded and communication lost. The Madleen is carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, in the last two weeks the UN has described Gaza as “the hungriest place on earth”. Eyes and hearts with the Madleen.🕊️
- This dazed child is 6 year old Ward Jalal Al-Shaikh Khalil - her name means “flowers” in Arabic. She's trying to escape in a school-turned-shelter that was bombed overnight. Somehow she survived. 36 others (including her mum and sister) were killed.
